Yes, collapse awareness must precede any anticipatory design for collapse-preparedness. An additional step between the two is collapse-acceptance; and this musy recognise the uncertainty of how things will play out, with or without various 'interventions'. One could equate this to the known (trans-contextual) landscape of broad hazards (on th old maps - warning, here be dragons) that humanity will have to navigate, while not knowing exactly which path (i.e. not pre-determined, but preferably pre-considered) or exactly when we might need to take it (climate mayhem, as an accelerator of all other crises in our unfolding polycrisis, is not mentioned here...?)
